City School of Motoring has been giving quality instruction in the Cambridge area for over 30 years.  

When you want to learn to drive, one of the most important decisions you have to make, is your choice of driving instructor. This quote taken from the government's web site shows how important this decision is;

Recent surveys indicate that nine in ten learners who passed both theory and practical tests first time were taught by an instructor. A fully qualified approved driving instructor (ADI) must display a green certificate on the windscreen of the car while teaching you. Some trainee driving instructors are granted a licence so they can gain experience before their qualifying examination. In this case, the trainee driving instructor must display a pink certificate on the windscreen.

The 'pink' certificate referred to in the above quote is shown to denote a trainee one who has not passed all the tests, (these trainees are sometimes allowed by the larger driving schools to teach pupils, and charge the full fee).

The certificate whether green or pink shows a photograph of the instructor, and must be on display on the windscreen, at all times during a lesson.

Our instructors are ADI qualified and licensed to teach and are registered with the Driving Standards Agency. We guarantee you "One to One" tuition with the same instructor, who will teach in a friendly, patient but professional manner, many students  are nervous the first time out , we provide air conditioned, dual-control cars for your safety and comfort.

We also offer  further tuition to extend the skills of the newly qualified driver, and refresher lessons for those seeking greater confidence behind the wheel, who perhaps  have not driven for a while and need a little reassurance.

We teach in modern manual dual control cars, and  have found from long experience that two one hour lessons a week are the best way to  start, progressing to perhaps one and a half to two hour lessons, as this is less stressful for the absolute beginner, your instructor will advise the best for your individual circumstances, in order to get you to your full licence as quickly as possible.

We will not take you for more driving lessons than are necessary.
